Frugi Commitment
Privacy is the central pillar of Frugi. Unlike other finance apps, we don't want your data. Frugi was built to work locally and use your own cloud infrastructure (Google Drive) for backup.
Google User Data Disclosure (Frugi Mobile)
This section describes how the Frugi mobile application (Frugi Mobile) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information obtained from Google APIs, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Data Accessed
Google Sign-In (OpenID Connect): Google Account ID, full name, email address, and profile picture URL (as provided by Google's userinfo APIs) for authentication and account creation. Google Drive (optional, Frugi Pro, with explicit user consent): files and folders created by Frugi, including data in the application's hidden appData folder, used only for cloud backup of purchase history. Google Sheets (optional, Frugi Pro, with explicit user consent): spreadsheets created by Frugi for financial dashboard export. Frugi does not access, read, or modify other photos, files, or spreadsheets in your Google account.
Data Used
Google user data is used solely to: (1) authenticate your account and identify you in the app; (2) enable optional cloud backup and sync of your purchase history to your own Google Drive when you choose Frugi Pro; (3) create and update Google Sheets exports that you request. Google user data is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, surveillance, or any purpose unrelated to these features.
Data Stored
Purchase and invoice data is stored primarily on your device. If you enable Frugi Pro backup, data is stored in your own Google Drive (appData folder and Frugi-created files) and Google Sheets (Frugi-created spreadsheets). Frugi does not maintain a centralized server database of your purchases obtained through Google APIs. Data remains until you delete it in the app, remove files from Drive or Sheets, or revoke Frugi's access.
Data Shared
Frugi does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with advertising partners, data brokers, or third parties for their independent use. Information received from Google APIs is not transferred to other apps except as required to provide the features you request. Error telemetry on the app uses basic device identifiers and does not include Google OAuth tokens or the content of your Drive or Sheets files.
OAuth Scopes Requested
openid, email, and profile (sign-in); https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata (hidden app folder for Pro backup); https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file (access only to files created or opened by Frugi).
Google Limited Use (Mandatory Disclosure)
Frugi's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking Access
You may revoke Frugi's access at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps with account access (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions). You may also delete Frugi-created files and folders directly in Google Drive and Google Sheets.
AI and Machine Learning
Frugi does not use Google user data obtained through Google APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
1. Data Collection
Frugi collects only what is strictly necessary for the tools to function. Invoice data is processed locally on your device. Basic identifiers are used only for error telemetry.
2. Storage (Google Drive and Sheets)
If you choose Cloud Backup or Export (Frugi Pro), the app will request access to your Google Drive and Google Sheets. Frugi only accesses its own hidden app data folder (appdata) and generates/alters spreadsheets created specifically by it with your explicit consent. We do not obtain, read, or alter the content of other photos, files, or spreadsheets in your Google account.
3. Data Sharing
We never sell your data. We do not share information with advertising partners or data brokers. Frugi's business model is based on the Pro subscription, not on the monetization of your financial life.
4. Deletion and Retention
You have full control. You can remove and revoke access granted to Frugi at any time directly in the Security section of your Google Account. You can also access your own Google Drive and delete generated spreadsheets and folders, at which point no data or trace of yours will remain in our systems.
5. LGPD & GDPR Compliance
We respect the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Frugi holds no centralized database with your purchases. You act as the controller of your invoice data, saved locally and in your personal cloud. You may request account deletion or revoke access at any time through your Google Security settings.
6. Data Protection Mechanisms for Sensitive Data
All data communication with Google Drive is encrypted and performed via secure HTTPS protocol. Frugi is a 'local-first' application, meaning your financial data is processed directly on your device and synchronized exclusively with your personal Google Drive via OAuth 2.0 tokens. We do not store, intercept, or share your data on our own or third-party servers.
